We utilize multiple methods of Cardiac Stress
Testing.
Key/New Equipment Used:
• Treadmill with computerized component
for calculating information and EKG monitoring
• Adenosine infusion pump
• Automatic noninvasive blood pressure

Cardiac Stress Tests are performed for detection
of coronary artery disease and also to help evaluate
functional capacity of patients, with physician
attendance, ACLS certified nurse and certified
nuclear technician. There is a focus on risk factors
for heart attack with appropriate follow-up and
education.
Patients should be knowledgeable and well prepared
by their health care provider for the specific
test ordered, i.e., NPO status, possible
need for IV start, what medications to take, or
qualification for one or two day protocol.
